Terms of Service
Effective September 6, 2026 · Gray Cat Security, LLC
Welcome to repondez.click — a simple way to create events, invite people, and collect RSVPs. These Terms are a contract between you and Gray Cat Security, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our”), a Texas company that operates the service. The product is built by Chris Mercer and licensed to Gray Cat Security, LLC for operation.
By creating an account, hosting an event, sending invites, RSVPing, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
What this service is
repondez.click lets hosts create events and collect replies (yes / can’t make it / maybe). Guests can RSVP without making an account, usually through an invite link or an open event page with email confirmation.
The service is currently free. We may introduce paid plans or features later. If we do, we’ll show you the price and ask you to agree before charging anything. Free features may change as the product grows.
Who can use it
You must be at least 13 years old to create a host account or to RSVP. If you’re under 18, you should only use the service with a parent or guardian’s permission where that’s required where you live.
You must provide accurate information, keep your login details safe, and be responsible for activity on your account.
Accounts and your link
Hosts sign up with email and password. You can claim a public handle (your link) and create event pages under it. Handles and event link names must follow our rules and can’t impersonate others or use reserved words.
If you rename a handle or event link, we may keep the old URL working for a while as a redirect so people aren’t stranded. We can reclaim unused, abusive, or trademark-conflicting handles when we need to.
Hosts, guests, and invite data
When you invite someone or run an open RSVP, you’re asking them to share information with you (typically name, email, reply, and any note). We store that so the product works, but you are responsible for how you collect, use, share, and keep guest information— including complying with laws that apply to your event and your invite list.
Guests: by RSVPing, you choose to send your reply (and the details you enter) to the event host through our service. We aren’t responsible for what a host does with information you voluntarily give them.
Don’t invite people who haven’t agreed to hear from you. Don’t use the service to spam, harass, or scrape contact lists.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you submit (event titles, descriptions, locations, notes, names, and so on). You give us a limited license to host, store, display, transmit, and back up that content only as needed to run and improve repondez.click.
You’re responsible for your content. Don’t post anything illegal, misleading, or that you don’t have the right to share.
Please don’t be awful
You’re welcome here if you use the service in good faith. You agree not to:
- Break the law or help others break the law
- Spam, phish, or send bulk unsolicited invites
- Harass, threaten, or dox anyone
- Impersonate people or organizations
- Probe, scan, or overload the service; bypass rate limits or security features
- Scrape, harvest, or resell user or guest data from the service
- Upload malware, or try to gain access that isn’t yours
- Use the service for events or content that exploit children, promote violence, or traffic in illegal goods
- Reverse engineer the service except where the law says you can
We may suspend or terminate accounts, remove content, or block access when we believe these rules were broken or the service or others are at risk. We’ll try to be fair about it.
We send transactional email that makes the product work: account verification, password reset, invites, and RSVP confirmations. We may later send occasional product updates (for example, “here’s a new feature”). If we do, you’ll be able to opt out of those non-essential messages. Transactional mail related to your account or an RSVP you started may still arrive.
Availability and changes
We aim for a reliable service, but we don’t promise unbroken uptime. Features can change, break, or go away as we improve things. We’ll try not to surprise you with destructive changes when we can avoid it.
We may update these Terms. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and update the effective date. If a change is material, we’ll give reasonable notice (for example by email or a site notice) when practical. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
The honest fine print
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the service will be error-free, secure against every threat, or perfectly suited to your event.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Gray Cat Security, LLC and its owners, officers, employees, and licensors (including Chris Mercer) won’t be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service — even if we’ve been told such damages are possible.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) US $100 if you haven’t paid us anything. Some places don’t allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum the law allows.
If something goes sideways because of you
If your use of the service (including how you handle guest data or your event content) causes a claim against us, you agree to defend and indemnify Gray Cat Security, LLC and its people against reasonable losses and costs arising from that claim, except to the extent we caused it through our own willful misconduct.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Texas have exclusive venue for disputes that end up in court, unless applicable law requires otherwise for consumers where you live.
If a court finds part of these Terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the service (along with the Privacy Policy and any paid-plan terms we publish later).
